Hello. We are the original catholic or universal church.
Our doctrines are the same as those held by our master Joshua the Messiah called Jesus the Christ by the Greeks and Romans. He entrusted the gospel of good news of the kingdom of God to our early leaders the apostles. The story of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mariam (called Mary) is a Great Story.
Our original doctrines and understanding as taught by Christ and the Apostles are still held by us in spite of intense persecution by the god of this world and the religions who serve him. The original doctrines of the church are well known. Most of our persecutors are those who call themselves "Christians."
We have always held the same doctrines of the Sacraments of the Church (No. 150). We acknowledge only Baptism and the Lord's Supper as sole sacraments of the Church.
We have been around for 2000 years (see the paper General Distribution of the Sabbath-keeping Churches (No. 122).
The Sabbath has always been a sign of the true and Original Catholic or Universal Church but it was not the only sign of our people (see The Role of the Fourth Commandment in the Historical Sabbath-Keeping Churches of God (No. 170)).
We believe that Joshua the Messiah called Jesus Christ died for our sins and was resurrected from the dead. He became a son of God in power from his resurrection from the dead (see The Timing of the Crucifixion and the resurrection (No. 159)).
We have always held the Bible to be the inspired word of God (see the paper The Bible (No. 164)).
The church was plagued by pagan and Gnostic false doctrine for centuries. See the effects in the FAQ's on Catholicism.
The first schism of the church was caused by the introduction of the pagan Easter system and the Sunday system from the Sun Cults. These schisms were called the Quartodeciman Disputes.
The true Church always kept the Food Laws (No. 15).
False doctrines on the nature of God finally divided the church again when Binitarianism formed in 325 at Nicea and then grew into Trinitarianism at Constantinople in 381.
This false Trinitarian doctrine resulted in the rise of Islam where we were recognised as the true and original church by Muhammed and the Qur'an or Koran (see Christ and the Koran (No. 163), Sabbath in the Qur'an (No. 274) and Juma'ah: Preparation for the Sabbath (No. 285).
We lasted despite intense persecution commencing from the Unitarian/Trinitarian Wars (No. 268) and actually began to threaten the existence of Trinitarian Christianity. We forced the Reformation (see also Socinianism, Arianism and Unitarianism (No. 185)).
We have always believed in the return of the Messiah and his reign on earth for a thousand years with us as the elect of God (see also The Millennium and the Rapture (No. 95)).
Our beliefs have not changed for two thousand years (see Statement of Beliefs of the Christian Faith (A1)).
God has given us to Christ that we might be selected over forty jubilees according to his purpose. Soon the time will come to end and the god of this world will be restrained. We will then see the Messiah and take up our crowns and this world will be restored to the law of God for the Millennial system. This is all done according to the Plan of God (see The Outline Timetable of the Age (No. 272)).
The Original Catholic Church, the Church of God will then rule again under Messiah free of the false doctrine of the papal system following God's Law and as sons of God.
We have survived for two millennia despite instense persecution
and even great persecution this century.
Soon Messiah will come and we will be at peace.
